SUMMARY: This position serves as the primary set-up and troubleshooting specialist for all pipe fabrication-related equipment/processes including but not limited to the bender, fabrication wash system, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Equipment set-up including:
- Set-up and tool changes for all benders.
- Completes titrations of wash system and makes necessary chemical adds when needed.
- Maintains an inventory of fabrication tooling and tooling life. Documents all reworks and upgrades of tooling.
- Schedules rework and maintenance of all fabrication tooling per engineering requirements.
- Audits tooling monthly to assess tooling wear and need for repair.
- Assists and trains operators in proper machine set-up and daily maintenance.
- Troubleshoots quality and process problems.
- Performs production functions when not completing assigned tasks.
- Could potentially handle hazardous waste in containerizing, transporting, testing, or other assigned duties.
- Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Expected: High School Diploma or GED. 2-5 years of related process experience. Complete bender set-up certification within 1 year of selection.

- Proficient with MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, etc)
Communication Skills:
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
- Interpersonal communication skills necessary.
- Must be able to interpret technical information (ie. Blueprints, operations manuals, etc.)
- Must be able to use and train others on the use of fabrication tools (micrometers, pie tape, etc).
Other Skills:
- Corrected vision and dexterous use of both hands.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
