SUMMARY: Spray paints a variety of parts with ceramics, lacquers, enamel and undercoats to produce various finishes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Perform visual inspection of all material prior to painting.
  • Tape off area to be painted.
  • Thin and strain paints to required consistencies and viscosities to produce desired results.
  • Check quality of paints and thinners.
  • Clean and maintain paint room and equipment.
  • Could potentially come in contact with hazardous chemicals.
  • Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Preferred: One-year experience or related training.

Communication Skills:

  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.

Physical Requirements:

  • Corrected vision and dexterous use of both hands.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Will be required to wear a respirator appropriate for the material being used.
  • To perform this job the individual cannot be color blind.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • WasteCap Nebraska Finishing Technologies 8 hr Certification: required within 180 days of assuming the role with recertification required every 5 years.
  • Additional training requirements as defined in the Learning Management System based on the role.
