SUMMARY:
Operation of Waste Treatment Systems including treatment of solutions and wastes in accordance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Monitors operations of the waste treatment room, maintains treatment chemical levels, and makes adjustments to the operations as necessary.

Empties filter presses and prepares sludge generated for proper shipment, including containerizing, marking, and labeling.

Initiates work orders as necessary to ensure all systems operate properly.

Maintains and calibrates probes on all measurement equipment.

Communicates with line personnel and assists in handling disposal requests.

Cleans and triple rinses empty chemical containers per EPA regulations.

Uses pumps and/or hoses to transfer chemicals from a variety of containers.

Maintains the waste treatment room in an orderly manner, including good housekeeping and safety practices.

Could potentially handle hazardous waste in containerizing, transporting, testing, or other assigned duties.

Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Preferred: Two years previous waste water experience and/or education

Must pass State Waste Treatment Certification Test within 6 months of hire.
Communication Skills:
-
Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.

Must be able to read work instructions, safety procedures, labels on tanks and various chemical containers.

Able to communicate with operations personnel
Other Skills:
-
Corrected vision and dexterous use of both hands.
-
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds.
