Continuous Improvement Intern

SUMMARY: Responsible for documentation of all continuous improvement activities and daily management of Lean Metrics, organizing Lean Events, and participating in Lean Improvement Activities.

- Maintain Continuous Improvement documentation, presentations, and summaries.
- Maintain electronic and hard copy files of Continuous Improvement documentation.
- Schedule and participate in Kaizen activities.
- Involvement with Bright Ideas systems.
- Document and Track Continuous Improvement Training Programs.
- Any other tasks as required by the Continuous Improvement Manager.
- Could potentially handle hazardous waste in containerizing, transporting, testing, or other assigned duties.
- Any other tasks as required in fulfillment of Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience require.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Expected: Sophomore standing at an accredited university or college. Prefer area of focus to be in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical).
Communication Skills:
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
- Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Other Skills:
- Must be highly organized and able to conduct multiple tasks concurrently.
- Corrected vision and dexterous use of both hands.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access or comparable software programs and experience or ability to learn statistical software.
