SUMMARY: This position , performs regularly scheduled and as needed cycle counts of raw materials, finished goods, work in progress, and packaging. Responsible for communication of information necessary for the effective and efficient operation of closed-loop MRP system. Contributes to manufacturing at best cost through the timely procurement of material and achieving optimal service levels.

  • Counts materials in production and warehouse areas.
  • Audits orders and inventory levels against Navision reports for accuracy.
  • Assists production planners in resolving differences between physical and system inventory levels.
  • Compares physical inventory counts with inventory shown in Navision.
  • Conducts physical counts and moves at all Lincoln Industries locations.
  • Monitors and assesses operations and transaction activities for process adherence to help ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Participates in training and process improvement activities with Materials Management team.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with production planners, operations, and shipping receiving to ensure timely accurate information gathering and validation.
  • Works with inventory personnel to help maintain accurate inventories; to keep an accurate perpetual inventory.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Could potentially handle hazardous waste in containerizing, transporting, testing, or other assigned duties.
  • Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Expected: High School diploma or equivalency. Fork truck certification. One year production or warehouse experience.
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of Navision production transactions and reporting.

Communication Skills:

  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language in order to interpret data, generate basic reports, and communications.

Other Skills:

  • Corrected vision and dexterous use of both hands.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
  • General knowledge of accounting and understanding of the general ledger accounts and how they relate to invoices.
  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software package.
  • Ability to operate a 10-key calculator.
