SUMMARY: The purpose of this job is to verify shipping paperwork, tag received parts and identify for delivery to line or for storage, prepare parts for shipping as well as the delivery of materials and parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Driving and Operating forklifts
  • Preparing UPS shipments
  • Loading/unloading trucks
  • Ready parts for shipping by shrink wrapping or banding
  • Verify shipping paperwork – pack lists, freight bill, shipping labels, etc.
  • Tag received parts and identify as ready for line or storage
  • Checking in parts
  • Preparing and checking packing slips
  • Identifying non-conforming parts or packages and dispositioning in accordance with QS-9000 standards
  • Maintaining dock area in a neat and orderly manner
  • Transfer parts and orders interdepartmentally and insuring proper documentation
  • Could potentially handle hazardous waste in containerizing, transporting, testing, or other assigned duties
  • Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries’ Beliefs and Drivers

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Preferred: One year experience in shipping and receiving department

Communication Skills:

  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
  • Must be able to clearly understand material tracking documents and communicate verbally with line personnel on a daily basis.

Other Skills:

  • Corrected vision and dexterous use of both hands.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pound parts or boxes of parts.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Must be able to work in a hot humid environment.
  • Must be able to drive a forklift.
