Continuous Improvement Coordinator

SUMMARY: Coordination of all continuous improvement activities and daily management of Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) at all Lincoln Industries facilities.

- Oversee all aspects of QMS and EMS including, but not limited to, planning, implementing, checking and reviewing the management systems on a daily basis.
- Communicate with Lincoln Industries people concerning all aspects of the QMS and EMS.
- Ensure all people of Lincoln Industries are properly trained in all aspects of the QMS and EMS.
- Update the QMS and EMS to streamline and enhance performance
- Supervise Document Control Clerk.
- Ensure all documentation including the Levels I, II, III, IV are current, up-to-date and relevant.
- Communicate and coordinate activities with external registrar.
- Any other tasks as required by the Quality & Process Manager.
- Maintain Microsoft Access database of all QMS and EMS documentation.
- Implement and maintain 5S program.
- Verify information with customer, suppliers, standards publishers, and internal departments to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Track the performance of document change training and communicate such training to the Training Coordinator.
- Utilize various software programs to develop controlled documentation.
- Maintain electronic and hard copy files of controlled documentation.
- Develop and coordinate Kaizen activities.
- Oversee all internal QMS and EMS audits.
- Oversee all QMS and EMS Surveillance Audits.
- Manipulate quality data and generation of quality reports.
- Coordinate pFMEA development and updating.
- Administrate CAR and Bright Ideas systems with necessary functions.
- Could potentially handle hazardous waste in containerizing, transporting, testing, or other assigned duties.
- Any other tasks as required in fulfillment of Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience require.
Education and/or Experience:
- Expected: Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college, or equivalent combination of experience and Education
- Preferred: QMS/EMS Experience, Internal auditing experience, 5S/Kaizen experience
Communication Skills:
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
- Must be able to comprehend Quality and Environmental standards as set forth by certifying organizations.
- Must be able to write standard operating procedures for all applicable elements of Quality and Environmental standards.
- Must be able to manipulate data for purposes of system maintenance and report generation.
Other Skills:
- Must be highly organized and able to conduct multiple tasks concurrently.
- Corrected vision and dexterous use of both hands.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access or comparable software programs and experience or ability to learn statistical software.
