SUMMARY: This position researches, recommends, and coordinates the implementation of system standards, practices, and improvements for ERP System (Navision) Optimization. Responsible for communication of best practices for operation of closed-loop MRP system.

- Research and problem solve Navision issues for system improvement and recommendations for standard work.
- Set up new functions in the system.
- Write work instructions.
- Train others in standard system work.
- Provide IT department with systems needs.
- Warehouse management system practices recommendations and standard work.
- Resolves production order error discrepancies and establishes procedures to eliminate/minimize such issues.
- Sets up cycle count schedules and compliance.
- Develops standards production and shipping reports.
- Shipping ASM setup and problem solving.
- Initiates necessary Document Change Training.
- Works directly with operations and IFS and materials group on all materials flow issues.
- Warehouse management and bar code system coordination.
- Assists production planners in resolving differences between physical and system inventory levels.
- Participates in training and process improvement activities with Materials Management team.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with production planners, operations, and shipping receiving to ensure timely accurate information gathering and validation.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Could potentially handle hazardous waste in containerizing, transporting, testing, or other assigned duties.
- Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.
Education and/or Experience:
- Expected: Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years materials management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Communication Skills:
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language in order to interpret data, generate basic reports, and communications.
Other Skills:
- Corrected vision and dexterous use of both hands.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
- General knowledge of accounting and understanding of the general ledger accounts and how they relate to invoices.
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software products.
- Ability to operate a 10-key calculator.
