Material Handler

SUMMARY: The purpose of this job is to load and unload parts off trucks, place parts in the proper area of the shipping and receiving department and take parts to and from the production lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Driving and operating forklifts.

Loading/unloading trucks.

Deliver parts from the warehouse to the dock.

Pick up completions from the lines and deliver to the dock.

Bring materials from the warehouse to the lines.

Verify correct paperwork before moving parts.

Verify correct paperwork on stored material.
-
Move and stack material for the lines.
-
Maintaining dock area in a neat and orderly manner/keep warehouse organized.

Transfer parts and orders interdepartmentally and insuring proper documentation.

Could potentially handle hazardous waste in containerizing, transporting, testing, or other assigned duties.

Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Required: High School diploma or GED
Communication Skills:

Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.

Must be able to clearly understand material tracking documents and communicate verbally with line personnel on a daily basis.
Other Skills:

Corrected vision and dexterous use of both hands.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Must be able to lift up to 55 pound parts or boxes of parts.

Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.

Must be able to work in a hot humid environment.

Must be able to drive a forklift.
