SUMMARY: Provide a service within the organization by coordinating and implementing all on the job Polishing Training and associated requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Incorporates polishing training and certification documentation into quality documentation system.
- Develops guidelines for on the job training and certification in polishing, communicates guidelines, and monitors progress/performance against those guidelines.
- Train all new polishers and cross train existing polishers.
- Develops and delivers training associated with all new projects.
- Develops process productivity measures, procedures, and methods in cooperation with Process Development.
- Develop process manuals, visual work instructions, job aids, and instructional materials for training and ongoing production.
- Evaluate and certify new and existing people on projects according to productivity, quality, and safety requirements.
- Make suggestions on improving work instructions practices
- Develop and apply assessments, certification, and evaluations/certifications to verify performance.
- Coordinate training schedule and release of new polishers with Polishing Leads.
- Provide initial introductory reviews with new polishers and appropriate shift leads.
- Could potentially handle hazardous waste in containerizing, transporting, testing, or other assigned duties
- Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries’ Beliefs and Drivers.
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.
Education and/or Experience:
- Expected: 2 years experience in polishing is required.
Communication Skills:
- Must have strong English skills
- Must have strong written communication skills
- Basic presentation skills
- Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office products
Other Skills:
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
