SUMMARY: The purpose of this job is to fabricate parts according to customer specifications and meet production efficiencies by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Prepares parts for sawing, bending, cutoff, and deburring to appropriate length and dimension.
  • Visually inspect and prepare incoming materials.
  • Sets up and controls saw, tube benders, and hole punch equipment to include proper setup of part and tooling.
  • Cleans and maintains fabrication area and equipment.
  • Records production data on specified forms.
  • Performs visual inspection and measurement of parts in preparation for plating.
  • Follows established safety procedures and work instructions.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Perform pipe cleaning.
  • Could potentially handle hazardous waste in containerizing, transporting, testing, or other assigned duties.
  • Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries’ Beliefs & Drivers.

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Expected: One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Communication Skills:

  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language in order to communicate well with our vendors, internal suppliers and interpret invoices.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Other Skills:

  • Corrected vision and dexterous use of both hands.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to operate a 10-key calculator.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer data entry.
