SUMMARY: The purpose of this job is to perform a variety of technical roles within the company’s plating operations.

WAGE TYPE: Hourly
FLSA Exemption: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Follows established safety procedures and work instructions.
  • Racks and un-racks parts by hand onto racks using racking work instructions.
  • Records production data on specified forms.
  • Performs visual inspection of finished parts and preparation for packaging.
  • Packages materials and products manually
  • Operates manual hoist or automatic hoist system for submerging the parts in plating or cleaning baths. This may also be performed by hand.
  • May work with substances defined as hazardous waste, such as chrome sludge.
  • Could potentially handle hazardous waste in containerizing, transporting, testing, or other assigned duties.
  • Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Expected: zero to six months related experience and/or training preferred.

Communication Skills:

  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
  • Must be able to read work instructions and travelers in order to follow proper procedures.
  • Must be able to read safety warnings and chemical labels.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally with others.

Physical Requirements:

  • Corrected vision and dexterous use of both hands.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds.

Other Skills:

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Must be able to stand continuously for up to five hours.
  • Must be able to work in a hot and humid environment.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive stooping, kneeling, reaching and pinching.
