SUMMARY: Fabricates, modifies, and repairs electroplating racking and tooling. Build parts for special projects and parts supporting the maintenance team.

  • Performs preventative maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of electroplating racking and tooling.
  • Set up, configure, and operate shop tooling.
  • Weld a wide variety of metals as well as plastics.
  • Take direction from all levels of the organization.
  • Coordinate jobs with line leaders and area coordinators.
  • Order and inventory standard rack materials and special order items.
  • Engineer, fabricate, and implement new ideas and racks for new customers.
  • Reengineer rack tooling to facilitate Continuous Improvement.
  • Any other tasks as required to fulfill Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.
QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Expected:
    • Background in maintenance or machine tool technology.
    • Mechanical aptitude and good visualization skills.
    • Education and/or experience using a lathe, mill, and drill press.
    • Education and/or experience with TIG, MIG, & SMAC welding.
Communication Skills:
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
  • Must be able to read technical manuals, blueprints and various maintenance and repair documents.
  • Must be able to communicate with other people regarding troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Must be able to use computer to access data on work orders, inventory, and communicate with email.
Other Skills:
  • Corrected vision and dexterous use of both hands.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in hot and humid environment
  • Must be able to climb ladders.
  • Must be able to manage frequent interruptions from normal routine.
