For his 30 plus years contributing to the leadership and success of Junior Achievement (JA), Marc LeBaron has received the JA Founders Award. LeBaron, Chairman and CEO of Lincoln Industries, is only the fifth person to receive this award from Junior Achievement of Lincoln, Nebr.

“The Founder Award is our organization’s highest volunteer award,” said Lincoln Junior Achievement President Ken Carlson.

“Marc has contributed so many great things to our organization. He helped start the JA Economics program and was one of the first volunteers in the 1980’s. Beyond this, his leadership has allowed us to become one of the nation’s most respected JA organizations. He has served both as a JA Director and is the current chair of the Board of Trustees. In addition, he is one of only two Nebraskan’s to receive JA’s national gold award,” said Carlson.

As a result of his influence, Lincoln Industries has become one of the city’s most active participants in Junior Achievement. In the last year, 37 volunteers provided instruction to 1,112 children in 54 classrooms.

“The people at Lincoln Industries take their personal knowledge of superior service and relate that directly to the kids we teach through Junior Achievement in Lincoln. It’s a wonderful thing when we can share with these kids what we experience everyday working and growing with our customers.” says LeBaron.
