Improving product performance, quality and cost are constant challenges for manufacturers, but the current economy makes finding new solutions imperative. Staying ahead of the curve requires hard work and continuously learning about new trends, technologies and services. With this in mind, Lincoln Industries hosted a technical conference on September 24 for a variety of current and prospective customers.
Lincoln Industries’ technical conferences provide a forum in which national experts in metal finishing and related areas can provide updates on the latest issues, share ideas and discuss in-depth the specific challenges manufacturers are facing. The conferences cover a wide range of topics, but can also be tailored to focus on the particular issues of one customer or industry. One constant, however, is the wealth of knowledge to be gained by attending. Said Matt Nyberg, Vice President of Business Development at Lincoln Industries: “The technical conferences are a great way for people to learn from our industry’s leading experts and gain valuable insight that they can immediately apply in their work.”
Lincoln Industries has conducted technical conferences for many years in a variety of formats. The general sessions, such as the one held in Lincoln last month, provide an opportunity for a first-hand look at a wide variety of finishing processes. However, it is often more efficient to take the conference to a customer location allowing for a larger audience from that company. These traveling conferences can range from a focused, one hour “Lunch and learn” format to a full day session replicating those done on-site in Lincoln.
Regardless of the location or format, the conferences never fail to receive positive reviews. “I was shocked to learn the magnitude of plating available at Lincoln Industries,” said Dakotah Hueftle of DMB Supply Inc. who attended the conference on September 24th. “We appreciated the invite to the conference. We learned a lot and have a better understanding of how to improve our processes before coming to Lincoln Industries with a project.”
