Lincoln Chrome – Lincoln Industries newest business segment – was put to the test in March at the Mid-America Truck Show (MATS) at Louisville, Kentucky. Based on the results at the largest heavy-duty trucking event in the world, the future is bright for the company’s aftermarket exhaust products.

“Last year, our first time at the show, we had one truck with our stacks in the beauty competition,” said Director of Lincoln Chrome Darren Parker. “This year, 17 of the 67 trucks in the competition had our stacks and each of the trucks that won the four categories for “Best in Show” competition were equipped with our stacks.”

Lincoln Industries launched its aftermarket stacks in September, 2008.  Lincoln ChromeIn July, 2009, the business was branded Lincoln Chrome allowing it to establish a service model that addresses the unique needs of aftermarket customers.

“Traditionally, our Lincoln Industries business involves providing high volume shipments of parts,” said Parker. “Our aftermarket truck business requires us to serve multiple locations with smaller orders to multiple locations throughout the country. We can better meet our customers’ needs by becoming a separate business unit.”

Lincoln Chrome’s early success is not unexpected.

“We believe we have a competitive advantage because we control the entire product flow from start to finish,” said Parker. “This includes the purchasing of raw tubing, the fabrication, polishing and plating.

“The Mid-America Truck Show illustrated that the marketplace is responding to our quality,” said Parker. “It sets the stage for what we believe will be a breakout year for our aftermarket pipe products.
